Bayonet Appriciation Thread
In the end, bayonets are awesome. Whether they're obsolete or not, in whomever is reading this' opinion. Let just have a friendly thread about bayonets.

My nugget's bayonet becomes stuck on there if I try to put it on.
So i tend to keep it off.
I stabbed a hole in my ceiling with it on anyway.

Fuck yeah. I normally carry around a WASR bayonet in my book bag or range bag. They come in handy so often. It's real easy to get hot brass out of a stovepipe, too.

I love a good bayonet. Been trying to find one for an old reenactment rifle I've got but I haven't had any luck with it. That barrel looks lonely without a mounted bayonet.

I had a bayonet on my Nagant; as if that rifle wasn't long enough without it.
I also enjoyed bayonet training in BCT... I might be the only one, but I think that a plain 'ol M16A2 with a bayonet on it looks pretty sexy.

You could always order online.

Nothing quite like the reactions you get at an indoor 25 yard range when you stroll up with a nugget with the bayonet mounted.

"I swear the bayonet is only there for barrel harmonics"

"It's there to help with muzzle flip."

My mosin's bayonet gets stuck on. But that doesn't make it any less cool.

Lol yeah, they didn't want those off 99% of the time, so they made them a tight fit from what I've read.Admin wrote:My nugget's bayonet becomes stuck on there if I try to put it on.

My rifle didn't come with a bayonet, and since it's an M39, I'd have to spend at least what I paid for the gun!
I do have a bayonet from a surplus store in town, bought it years ago. Found out it's from a Carcano, the non-folding bayonet, and it was missing probably 3/8" of the tip so I took my dad's grinder to it as a youth to make a servicable knife of it.

I keep a pistol in my nightstand for any late night shenanigans that may be afoot, but I also have an M1 Carbine stoked with a 30 round mag of soft points if I need some more punch. I want to get a bayonet to go with it in case I need to get really up close and personal with the shenanigan perpetrator...

I am working on making a bayonet for my Saiga-12 shotgun.
Other wise I have some WW2 surplus bayonet and no gun for it to go to, and I wont be using for my shotgun.
